By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Aug. 22:The film ‘Lakhe Aaju’ is set to be released in the cinema theatres during the Dashain festival.
Producer Gopal Kayastha said that they planned to release the film around Dashain, though the exact release date would be finalised in a few days.
The trailer for the film, featuring lead actors Sohit Manandhar and Ashisma Nakarmi, was released on Tuesday.
The trailer hints that the movie revolves around a battle between gods and demons.
According to the production unit, the film has been in production for three years.
It will be released simultaneously in both Nepali and Newari languages, with English subtitles for international audiences. The film is set for simultaneous release in Nepal and abroad, with BK Films handling its distribution.
According to producer Kayastha, the film is based on a mythological story and tells the tale of Lakhe, explaining the reasons behind the celebration of Lakhe. The production unit aims to convey the truth about the Lakhe tradition among the general public.
In addition to Sohit and Ashisma, the film also stars Madan Krishna Shrestha, Madan Das Shrestha, Sabin Shakya, Nagina Joshi, among others.
The film's producers include Pradeep Kumar Uday, Narendra Maharjan, Ashisma Nakarmi Pradhan, and Deepak Shrestha, who have jointly invested in the project.
