Kathmandu, Aug 18: The airlines operators held a discussion with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on aviation sector.
They met PM Oli at the latter's office, Singha Durbar, shared their problems and sought facilitation on resolving problems.
Chairman of the Airline Operators' Association, Manoj Karki, informed that PM Oli was informed about operation of air service and problems facing this sector.
On the occasion, PM Oli directed the airlines operators to pay heed to boosting air safety. The PM also urged them how Nepal could be lifted out of the EU's blacklist in aviation. PM Oli enquired them on how 'dollar fare' could be removed.
The meeting attendants further shared that PM Oli reiterated government's initiatives to boost air safety. A bill to split Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) was forwarded for the policy and structural reform on aviation.
Also attending the meeting was Chief Secretary Leela Devi Gadtaula. (RSS)
