Landslide obstructs Jajarkot road

Surkhet, Aug. 16: The traffic along the Bheri corridor was obstructed after a landslide at Bohara of Bheri Municipality-4 in Jajarkot district.

Power supply in the area is also disconnected as the electric poles collapsed after the landslide there, according to Purushottam Prasad Pandey, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the District Police Office, Jajarkot.

Likewise, the flood that occurred in Pitibang River at Musikot Municipality-11 in Rukum Paschim has disrupted the vehicular movement in Rapti Highway as well, DSP Nabaraj Pokharel said.

The police said that the vehicles to and from Musikot of Rukum Paschim have remained off the road since early morning today. 

Similarly, the landslides that occurred at Chinabagar and Githagoth in Sanibheri Rural Municipality in the district also disrupted the vehicular movement along the Mid Hill Highway in Rukum Paschim district, DSP Pokharel said. (RSS)
