blog

Kathmandu, Aug 6: Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister, Prakash Man Singh has said the formation of the incumbent government aims to accelerate the pace of development in the country.

Talking to the media at the Ministry today, he said the trend of frequent government change was disappointing for the citizens and the two major political parties decided to form a new political equation to send a positive wave of political stability to them. He added the government is convinced that it should deliver, keeping the citizens at first.

On a different note, he admitted that rigorous efforts are needed to address issues concerning the urban area and settlement, pledging to deliver visible actions including policy reforms towards that end. He assured of effective waste management and management of public areas, roads, and transport sectors as well.

On the occasion, Ministry officiating secretary Padhma Kumar Mainali briefed the Minister on progress so far.  (RSS)
