Actor Hamal making comeback in films after 8 years

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Aug. 6: Actor Rajesh Hamal is set to return to acting after almost eight years of hiatus.

 Hamal has signed an untitled film directed by Diwakar Bhattarai.

On Sunday evening, a written agreement was made between producer-director Bhattarai and actor Hamal. Hamal shared a picture on social media, announcing that he has signed on for Diwakar’s film.

Sharing the news of the agreement, he wrote, “After a long break, I am working on a film directed by Diwakar Bhattarai.”

After his last performance in the film ‘Shakuntala’ Hamal had not appeared in any films.

 Instead, he had been dedicating his time to music videos. Hamal is making a comeback in an action-oriented film after nearly eight years.

The film’s shooting is scheduled to begin in the upcoming month of Bhadra, and the name of the film will be announced in a few days, according to the production team.

Director Bhattarai shared that after Hamal liked the story of the film, he agreed to act in it, and he claimed that this film would mark a proud comeback for Rajesh Hamal.
