RSS journalist Bista honored with Youth Journalism Award

Baitadi, July 10: RSS Baitadi district correspondent Binod Singh Bista has been awarded with Youth Journalism Award-2081 BS.     

The Government of Nepal, the Ministry of Youth and Sports honored Bista with the award also carrying a cash prize of Rs 50,000. Ministry Secretary Suman Raj Aryal honored Bista with certificate and cash amid a function here at Singh Darbar today.     

According to the ministry, Bista was honored in recognition of his significant contribution to youth development by disseminating news on youth's issues through Nepali print newspapers, radio and online.     

The ministry had called for applications for the award last January.     

Among the applications received from all over the country, the ministry evaluated and selected Bista for the award.     

Bista is active in the journalism profession for the past 13 years. (RSS)
