Damauli (Tanahun), April 24: Five years after its development, an agricultural goods collection centre was brought into operation at Belchautara of Shuklagandaki Municipality-5 in Tanahun district.

Constructed at the cost of Rs 23 million, the building, which was left unused for five years, is now run by Khairenitar Women Development Multipurpose Cooperative.

The facility was operated on Thursday after an agreement between the municipality and the cooperative organization.

Mayor of Shuklagandaki Municipality Krishna Raj Pandit said that the centre built for the collection and sale of agricultural goods could not be run in the past, as no party approached to run it despite repeated attempts from the municipality. (RSS)
