Feasibility study of Kathmandu-Kerung railway to be completed this year

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 14: The government has come up with policy to complete the feasibility study of Kathmandu-Kerung railway, the much awaited project, within the upcoming fiscal year.

President Ramchandra Paudel said so while presenting the government policy and programme for the upcoming fiscal year of 2081/082 BS at the federal parliament today.

The Kathmandu-Madhesh fast track, underpass and overpass are to be made in traffic areas along the Kathmandu ring road, bridges will be built over prime rivers in the highway, under construction bridges and roads will be completed, road safety and injuries will be prioritized road, the survey will be made on Jaynagar–Janakpur–Bardibas railway line, Birtanagar railway line,  East-West Railway Line, Kerung-Kathmandu, and Raxaul -Kathmandu railway line will be made.
