Nepal to lead in globalising issues of climate change impact on Himalayas
By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 14: The
government has come up with a policy to establish Nepal's leadership role in the
internationalization of the issues relating to the adverse impact of climate
change on the Himalayas and mountainous regions.
The government is also to bring forth and implement national policy to
disaster mitigation and minimization of and adaptation to the effect of climate
change.
President Ramchandra Paudel said so while presenting the government
policy and programme for the upcoming fiscal year of 2081/082 BS at the Federal
Parliament today.
