Kathmandu, April 10: The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has cautioned against enrolling students in colleges having affiliation of foreign educational institutions and operating without acquiring permission for the same.
Issuing a notice, the Ministry has
made public a list of 49 education institutions that have acquired permission
to run the Advanced Level, the International Baccalaureates and CBSE programmes
or equivalent courses. It urged all concerned not to enroll students in these programmes
in other educational institutions, except those mentioned in the list.
However, the International
Education Providers of Nepal has stated that 89 educational institutions having
affiliation of foreign academic programmes and boards are in operation in
Nepal.
The Ministry has warned of action
against the educational institutions running foreign courses and programmes
without taking permission for the same. (RSS)
