Speaker Mandal presented ‘Maha Murkha’ title

By Our Correspondent,Janakpur, Mar. 27: Ramchandra Mandal, Speaker of the Madhes Province Assembly, has been conferred with the title of this year’s ‘Maha Murkha’ (The Great Fool) amid a programme held in Janakpurdham on Monday.  

Mithila Natyakala Parishad (MINAP) confers the title of ‘Maha Murkh’ every year on the occasion of the Holi festival. 

Mandal has been honoured with the famous title ‘The Great Fool’ for his continuous contribution to politics for a long time.  Janakpurdham Sub-metropolitan City Mayor Manoj Kumar Sah and Chair of MINAP Parmesh Jha jointly conferred the honour on Mandal on Monday.

 After receiving the honour, Mandal expressed his happiness and said that this type of honour would make him more responsible, and he would be more responsible to promote and develop Mithila culture.

 Minap has been presenting titles like ‘Maha Murkha’, ‘Patmurkha’, ‘Silautananda’, ‘Tanmusari’, and ‘Khesarilal’ every year for 28 years to the people who have contributed to society in various ways.
