Binita gains spotlight through PR

blog

By Hari Prasad Koirala,Urlabari, May 8: Emerging artist Binita Karki is moving forward in the Nepali film industry with determination and confidence.

Starting her career through modelling, Binita is now gaining attention through the film PR. Her journey reflects the struggles many daughters in Nepali society face while trying to pursue careers in art, acting, and entertainment.

From a young age, Binita was interested in dancing and acting. Inspired by actresses Rekha Thapa, Jharana Thapa, and Niruta Singh, she dreamed of appearing in films one day.

However, when she decided to enter modelling and acting, she faced criticism from family, relatives, and society. Many questioned her decision and discouraged her from entering the entertainment field.

Binita said she never gave up on her dreams despite the challenges. Through photoshoots, music videos, and stage performances, she slowly built her identity in the industry.

She admits there were emotional struggles and moments of self-doubt, but she continued moving forward with hard work and determination.

Her breakthrough came when she was selected for the lead role in PR, directed by Shovit Basnet. The film presents the struggles, dreams, and realities of Nepali youths living in Australia.

According to Binita, the film shows that going abroad alone does not guarantee success, as many hardships exist there as well.

Today, she says the same people who once criticised her are now praising her achievements. Giving the example of Pasang Lhamu Sherpa, she said women can achieve anything if they truly believe in themselves.
