Entrepreneurship with private sector will be encouraged: PM Prachanda

By Our Correspondent,Pokhara, Mar. 17: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that entrepreneurship will be encouraged together with the participation of the private sector.

Presenting prizes to the winners of the ‘Invitational Golf Tournament’ organised by Baahrakhari Media in Pokhara, PM Prachanda said that thousands of new startups and entrepreneurship will be launched at the earliest.

“There will be a systematic effort for a self-reliant economy,” PM Prachanda said, “Policy reforms will be made to end sluggish credit flow, the decline in middle-class consumption and low capital expenditure.”

Assuring that the incumbent government will do the right thing in the interest of the country, the Prime Minister clarified government’s ultimate goal is to achieve good governance, social justice and prosperity.

Stating that there has been a positive change in the capital market with reorganisation of the government, PM Prachanda said that the government is determined to strengthen the economy of the country through financial discipline, frugality in administrative expenses, increase in productivity and permanent control of revenue leakage.

“Job creation and import substitution will be the priorities of the government,” PM Prachanda said, “maintaining the current improvement in tourism sector, the goal of at least doubling the number of tourists will be taken.”

PM Prachanda assured that by making public service delivery agile and citizen-friendly, freedom of press and expression will be ensured, morality and accountability will be maintained in all structures of the state.

Stating that he started work with energy and enthusiasm last year, he said that a new equation has been created to complete the work he started and to fulfill last year’s resolutions.

“Important achievements have been achieved last year as well,” Prime Minister Prachanda said, “However, I have decided on a new alliance compelled by the situation”

‘Some important work has been done in the initial phase of government reorganisation, which indicates a bright future for the government,’ he said. 

Meanwhile, RSS adds:  Prime Minister ‘Prachanda’ has said that the government would increase the grants to the schools established in memory of martyrs.     

After an inspection visit to Martyrs Memorial Secondary School at Pokhara Metropolitan City-14 in Kaski on Saturday, the PM pledged to provide more grants to such schools from the upcoming fiscal year.     

The PM said, “New models are being explored to run the country’s all five Martyrs Memorial Schools established under the leadership of Martyrs Memorial Foundation.”     

The PM also assured to increase the grants to those schools from this fiscal year and expressed pleasure for the operation of such schools in an exemplary model.     

On the occasion, the PM took stock of the school and its operation.
