Six killed in Udaypur jeep accident

Taksar, Bhojpur, Mar 14: Six people have been killed when a jeep heading towards Ghoretar, northern Bhojpur from Dharan met with an accident on Thursday. 

According to the District Police Office, Bhojpur, a jeep with a registration number (Ko 1 Ja 2593) met with an accident at Mainamaini, Udaypur, killing six people and injuring eight others.

The jeep was carrying a total of 14 passengers at the time of the accident. 

Detailed information from the police mobilized at the accident spot is yet to be received. 

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the District Police Office, Bhojpur, said that the identity of other deceased besides the driver of the Jeep Man Bahadur Basnet is yet to be ascertained. The injured are being rescued and taken to Dharan for further treatment. 

According to the locals, the jeep fell some 800 meters down the road.
