Nepal Tea
Project
Nepalese
organic tea is very popular in the world, but due to the lack of good technical
support for tea planting and tea processing, tea farmers have a very difficult
life and rely only on tea picking to make a living. The Nepal Tea Project is
one of the 2023 Overseas Rural Revitalization Innovation Projects of the China
Foundation for Rural Development, which aims to help Nepal’s tea processing and
tea products improvement by supporting China's advanced tea processing
equipment into Nepal tea production, and promote the improvement of tea quality
through technical intervention, so as to achieve the purpose of increasing the
income of tea farmers. After the completion of the project, it will support the
tea processing of nearly 3 million tea trees planted by more than 160 tea
farmers in Kimtang Village, of Nuwakot District in Nepal, and improve the
quality of tea products in the region.
