Wires of Karnali bridge catch fire

By Ekindra Timilsena/Chadani Acharya, Kailali, Mar. 11: The wire of the Karnali Chisapani Bridge has caught fire as a fire suddenly broke out in a truck crossing it.

The truck heading to west from east with registration no. Na 5 Kha 5297 which was carrying lighters started burning as it reached the bridge and the driver stopped it at the entry point of the bridge.

According to Area Police Office, Chisani, efforts to douse the fire are underway.

No human casualties have been reported so far.

Shusila Shahi, Mayor of Lamkichuha Municipality, informed the fire engines from Bardiya and Ghodaghodi were called in as the fire brigades of Lamkichuha remained insufficient to put off the fire.
