'Nepal Riders Conference' at Rajarani Pokhari in Letang from March 8

By Our Correspondent,Urlabari, Mar. 6: Nepal Riders Conference is going to be held at Rajarani Pokhari area in Letang-1, north Morang, with the aim of spreading awareness about neglected tourist spots.

The sixth edition of Riders (meet) conference is going to be held under the organisation of Friends of Royal Enfield Nepal, an organisation established by the users of Royal Enfield motorcycles. 

The information regarding the conference was given at a press conference organised on Monday at the Rajarani Pond. The conference will be held from March 8 to 10. 

President of Friends of Royal Enfield Nepal, Sunil Manandhar said that 350 Royal Enfield motorcycle users from Nepal and India will participate in the three-day conference. 

Royal Infield users have registered 52 clubs in Nepal. Likewise, these clubs have coordination with seven Indian clubs of Royal Enfield users. Individual participants from other countries can also arrive, Manandhar said.

Friends of Royal Enfield Nepal have been holding such conference every year with the aim of promoting various tourist spots in the country. 

Earlier, the conference had been conducted in Bardiya, Pokhara, Mustang, Sunsari, Hetauda, Chitwan and other places. 

President Manandhar said that Rajarani was chosen as the venue for the conference after receiving information that the area had been overshadowed. Various organisations including Nepal Tourism Board, and Letang Municipality have sponsored the event. 

It is said that during the conference, various games including bike race, will be held, local culture will be displayed and publicity will be made through photos and videos to promote tourism in the area. Extensive preparations are being made in the area around Rajarani Pond for the event. 

Construction of a tent house for the participants to sleep, construction of a temporary toilet and bathroom, and construction of a kitchen is going on, said Manandhar. Letang Municipality has also supported in this, he said. 

Ward Chair Bishnu Magar said that since hundreds of people from the country and abroad are going to promote tourism here, the Municipality has also provided administrative support.

Rajarani Tourism Development Committee President Sujan Magar said that there is also a programme to perform the cultural hurrah dance of the local Magar community on the occasion. 

For the safety of the participants, entry to the Rajarani temple area will be prohibited for the duration of the programme, except for those who perform worship there daily.

Rajarani area is the seat of Dhimal caste and religion. Every year on the 2nd of Baisakh, the Dhimal caste performs a special worship at the Dhimal Than here. Similarly, Rajarani area is a place where you can find many types of orchids in one place. 

It is said that 48 species of orchids can be found here. Similarly, various rare aquatic birds, turtles, fishes, and snakes are also found here.
