Govt-private sector partnership essential for tourism promotion: Deuba

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar. 1: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that partnership between government and private sector is essential for promotion of tourism.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of Visit Bharatpur Year (VBY) 2024 held at the Narayani River beach in Bharatpur today, President Deuba said that building partnership is essential for the promotion of tourism.

President Deuba viewed that coordination of the concerned authorities of the federal, provincial and local levels is imperative as the foundation of Nepali economy is based on three pillars economic model. 

He said the impact caused on the economy due to Covid-19 will be compensated by the expansion of tourism sector. 

Former Prime Minister Deuba said "VBY will promote tourism across national and international levels which will ultimately help economic growth".

President Deuba added that Bharatpur is fully furnished with tourism infrastructure hence it can be the main tourism destination of the country.
