By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Jan. 31: Nepal reached the semi-finals and secured the Humanitarian Award in the international competition for Mrs. World 2023, held in Las Vegas.
Mrs. Nepal World Prithiviya Thapa, the representative from Nepal, received the Humanitarian Award in the beauty pageant.
Thapa said that winning the Humanitarian Award, one of the seven titles in addition to the top title in Mrs. World, is a significant success.
She considers it a great achievement for Nepal, emphasising the importance of this accomplishment not only for herself but also for her country.
Thapa expressed optimism about Nepal’s potential to win the Mrs. World title with increased preparation and participation, and she is returning to Nepal this week with the prestigious award.
Nisukant Jha, the president of Ribbon Entertainment, the organising body of Mrs. Nepal World, expressed their satisfaction with this achievement. He noted that this success marked Nepal’s second representation at Mrs. World and winning a major award on this occasion is a source of pride for the country.
The title of Mrs. World 2023 was claimed by Germany’s Julia Carolin, who is also a medical doctor and has made notable contributions to the treatment of children and senior citizens.
The competition featured women from 38 different countries, showcasing the beauty and talent of married individuals from over 57 countries worldwide.
