Rai, other finalists seek votes in singing reality

By Our Correspondent,Ilam, Jan. 9: A campaign has been launched in the home district of Ilam to support singer Binod Rai, who is in the final round of the singing reality show The Voice of Nepal Season 5.

The grand finale of the popular singing reality show is scheduled for this Friday.  Competing for the coveted title alongside Rai are Makar Yonjan, Nogen Limbu and Kumar Prayas.

At the meantime, various musical programmes and campaign are being organised in different locations across Ilam to support and celebrate singer Binod. During an event organised by Pancham Sangeet Pratishthan at Sombare in Ilam's Phikkal, singer Rai performed several songs and requested votes from the district residents. 

He urged all district residents to vote and help him secure victory.

 Singer Rai said, “I need your votes for the final round. Please, vote for me, and with your support, I will do the job of keeping the head of Ilam district high,”

Bhupendra Rai, a singer from Ilam, said that a district-wide campaign was conducted to ensure Binod’s victory.

 Programmes have been organised in Phikkal and Ilam, and Rai stated, “The time has come to elevate the name of Ilam in the field of music. We appeal to everyone to contribute and help.”

The ‘Win Binod’ campaign has been carried out across all 10 local municipalities of Ilam.  Additionally, music lovers in Jhapa and Morang have joined the campaign to support Binod.

The campaign has also been launched in Morang’s Pathari Shanishchare, where 33-year-old Rai, who has a permanent home in Phakphokthum Rural Municipality of Ilam, studied.

Like Binod, other finalists are also campaigning for votes through social media and their respective home districts.
