Community schools in Kamal to hire dance instructors

By Our Correspondent,Jhapa, Jan. 6: Kamal Rural Municipality in Jhapa is all set to hire Ghumti dance instructors for its community schools.

 The rural municipality has initiated the required procedures and completed the final preparations to appoint teachers for this purpose.

Ward chairman Hukum Singh Rai said that the decision aimed at boosting the interest of community school students in dance, as there is a growing enthusiasm among children for this art form.

 Most of the private schools have been hiring dance instructors recently, but this is not the case in community schools, said Rai.

Rai emphasised the municipality's commitment to enhancing extracurricular activities, particularly dance, in community schools.

 He said that Ghumti trainers will be deployed to teach in these schools.

Similarly, Rajkumar Shakya, the chief administrative officer of the Kamal Rural Municipality, said that the Koshi Province Chief Minister's Office had given consent to declare Kamal Rural Municipality as a child-friendly local level. 

After fulfilling all the necessary criteria, the consent of the Chief Minister's Office was sought, he added.
