Yash Kumar’s latest release focus on love beyond castes

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Jan. 4: Singer Yash Kumar has released another love song ‘Timi Chhau Ra Ta’, featuring lyrics, music, and vocals by himself.

 He unveiled the music video during a programme held in the capital on Tuesday in the presence of the Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Sudan Kirati.

Speaking about the song, Minister Kirati expressed discomfort while watching the music video, citing its depiction of a societal story. 

Nevertheless, he emphasised the role of music in fostering positivity, societal improvement and contributing to overall domestic production.

Minister Kirati acknowledged the influence of Nepali music and cinema in attracting tourists to regions like Manang and Mustang, proposing that it could develop into a significant industry. He expressed gratitude to those promoting music and cinema, attributing their efforts to the influx of more than 10 million tourists into Nepal.

The Minister was particularly impressed with the life story of singer Yash Kumar, referring to him as a ‘sand flower’ and commending his journey from childhood struggles, such as collecting sand by the riverside to his current success.

Yash Kumar, in turn, emphasised his commitment to conveying meaningful messages through music, aiming to positively impact society. 

Singer Kumar said that the theme of love transcends caste boundaries in his song ‘Timi Chhau Ra Ta’.

The musical movie portrays a love story between a Brahmin youth and a Limbu girl, aiming to highlight the universality of love. The music video features performances by Anu Thapa, Prem Subba, Rajesh Ghatani and other actors alongside Yash Kumar.
