By TRN Online, Kathmandu, November 3: Music composer BP Wagle has been honoured with the "Kalo Jhola Sangeet Samman 2080" at an event held in Kathmandu.
KaloJhola.com, run by Maitidevi Media, has made significant contributions to society in various fields of Nepali Artistry, Social Service, Journalism and music.
On the occasion of the second anniversary of KaloJhola.com run by Maitidevi Media, Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya honoured the Special Music Award 'Black Jhola Sangeet Samman 2080'.
Wagle was honoured for his contribution to the preservation, promotion, promotion and entertainment of Nepali art, literature and culture through songs and music in the fields of Child Psychology, Tourism Promotion, Education and Sports.
Chief Election Commissioner Thapaliya, Central President of Bharadwaj Sanskriti Promotion Centre, Nepal Rishi Prasad Subedi, and Member of Bagmati Provincial Assembly Shriram Lamichhane were present as special guests in the program. Veteran Actor and Film Director Deepashree Niraula said that she received the award as Prasad and getting the honour along with distinguished personalities added happiness as well as responsibility.
Chief Guest Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya said that the honour will give more energy to the people who have contributed in different fields and the work will be properly appreciated.
Wagle, who has also been awarded the “Lumbini Province Ratna Medal 079” by the Government of Nepal, has given music to songs on different topics such as, “Ma Chahari hu Timro”, “K bho galti”, “Yo Jyan mero Nepal” among others.
