Dr. Ojaswee Sherchand bags Mrs. Nepal Culture title

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Oct. 21: Dr. Ojaswee Sherchand has bagged the title of Mrs. Nepal Culture 2023, leaving 35 other contestants behind. 

She also clinched the title in the public choice category. The first Miss Nepal, Ruby Rana, who is also the brand ambassador for the pageant, crowned Dr. Sherchan. 

The event took place in a grand ceremony held at the Rastriya Nach Ghar in Kathmandu on Thursday.

 Likewise,  Ankita Thakur became the first runner-up while Sushma Basnet was the second runner-up.

 Shreya Dhungana clinched the title of the third runner-up, and Neera Tamang secured the fourth runner-up spot. Notably, Neera Tamang also received an intellectual degree as part of her recognition. 

The competition has been held annually since last year and has expanded its focus to promote and embrace a wider scope of cultural diversity. The event manager Sanu Khan emphasised the prioritisation of originality over fashion and modesty over glamour in the competition. 

Fashion Choreographer Rojin Shakya has done the choreography of the event. 

The judging panel included 'Miss Nepal 2005' Sugarika KC, 'Mrs Heritage International Nepal 2019'  Durga Bishural, media personality Manoj Joshi, Sangita Rauniyar from the tourism and aviation sector and Rimpal Singh.
