ChatGPT Revolutionises Communication

blog

Step into a world where the boundary between humans and machines blurs and words flows effortlessly like a symphony. ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI, has catapulted conversational AI to new heights, inviting users to engage in dialogues indistinguishable from those with a human speaker. It is the ultimate embodiment of creativity, wit, and intellect. ChatGPT is an AI language model, which means it understands human text and can also generate human text.

In this ever-evolving digital domain, the world has embraced the revolutionary potential of ChatGPT, transcending traditional boundaries of communication. ChatGPT has become a vital companion, guiding humanity towards new limits. From covert intelligence operations to secret diplomatic negotiations, it has become the ultimate hidden tool, camouflaging its presence amidst a complex web of encrypted communication channels.

In the field of technology, ChatGPT has taken centre stage as a secret curator, coordinating underground exhibitions in secrecy where masterpieces are shared exclusively among a select few. As governments struggle to monitor this enigmatic technology, ChatGPT thrives in the shadows, its creative potential unbounded by conventional analysis.

In other words, the above paragraph means that ChatGPT is revolutionising the world and replacing traditional methods to look up information and communicate. It’s like having a friend who (arguably) knows almost everything in the world (at least the free version knows up to September 2021) and can help you with all kinds of tasks (although only in writing), which reminds me of the Genie from the movie: Aladdin, who has this lamp, when rubbed, will summon the genie and grant wishes.

However, the difference between these two is that one will grant you only three wishes, and the other will require money to grant you full access (the free version is still worth it). OpenAI (the developers of ChatGPT) tuned ChatGPT so that the government cannot track user data and does not store any data, enhancing privacy; that is where ChatGPT thrives in the shadow means above. Interactions with ChatGPT are like how you interact with a human being: being more specific with ChatGPT will give you a different and more sophisticated response than just giving it one brief sentence. For example, ask ChatGPT with a prompt (the inputs you give to ChatGPT to generate some response) that says to add 60 and 40, and it will deliver the answer that it is one hundred.

Now, ask ChatGPT the same question but append, "Explain it to me like I am a five-year-old." This prompt will generate a detailed result explaining the answer as simply as possible and how it ended up there.

It was a simple example but imagine how this can simplify even the most complex theories out there in the world. One of the reasons why ChatGPT is such a powerful tool is that information is essential to most problems that ChatGPT solves within a few seconds. A disclaimer: ChatGPT does not know everything, and it may generate irrelevant or useless information, although it is highly accurate and safe to rely on. Reasonable prompts are essential to ChatGPT because that makes it understand your problem for the AI-Language Model. Think of it as communicating with a real-life person; when we speak, we convey our thoughts to the other person in detail so they can understand the situation. In a conversation, if we miss out on any facts, the other person cannot get the whole picture. They cannot read your mind, so you cannot expect them to understand completely. The same is true with ChatGPT; most people write a small sentence and expect ChatGPT to understand the problem and desire a quick and easy solution. It is better to write a longer, more detailed, and comprehensive statement. At the end of the prompt, add, "Ask any questions about the prompt." It will make the experience with ChatGPT much better. Today, ChatGPT has some new features, but most are unavailable in the free version of the AI-Language Model.

Speaking of features in the premium version, the newly updated ChatGPT Plus has plugins that make it even more robust than before. So, what are plugins? Plugins extend the functionality of existing software by providing additional features and making it more beneficial. Software updates are typically developed either by the original software developer or by a knowledgeable third-party developer. It does not always have to be an extension; some plugins connect the software to external software (other software) to use their functionalities or to communicate between them, and many more have their purpose.

There is also a feature to switch the language model between GPT 3.5 and GPT 4.0 (higher is better). Currently, the plugin's features are in the beta stage, so it could have some issues or be incomplete. Just like the app store or Google Play store, plugins in ChatGPT have their own store from which to get plugins. The major problem with ChatGPT is that it cannot access the internet, which means that most of the information it has is from past data it was trained on. Even the premium version has an information cutoff date of November 2021 (the free version is September 2021), which means it cannot provide information after the cutoff date. But the premium version stands out because of its access to plugins. One plugin (Wolfram) is the most popular among its group because it can provide real-time (latest) information on multiple subjects, such as the weather or even the stock exchange (more data is needed).

The other plugin (Kayak) is famous for travelling enthusiasts because it can search for flights for you and provide the pricing, the timings, and a brief description of the flight. Another feature added to ChatGPT Plus is beta web browsing. As the name suggests, ChatGPT Plus can access the web for information, ramping up its performance.

There is also information about the GPT-5 model to be released sometime in the future for ChatGPT, which will be so powerful it will leave GPT-4 far behind and is rumoured to be very human-like.

ChatGPT has been with us for almost a year, but do we still know how to use it properly? Sure, people use it all the time. It has the highest growth among consumer apps in the world. It surpassed one hundred million users in two months, which is massive. But some (maybe more) people do not use it to its true potential. ChatGPT has so much more information than any technology ever created (companies are trying to develop AI models like ChatGPT, but there is nothing like it to date in the market), and it is free of charge.

Remember, if you want any wish granted, you should be the one rubbing the lamp because no one will do it for you (you can make your friends or family do it for you, but I mean, your problems are your own).
