President of NCC Rajendra Malla informed that they have suggested making the directly connected service to the people result-oriented through effective coordination among intergovernmental bodies.

He said, "People will be greatly relieved if government services can be provided in a timely manner. There is a need for a solid policy arrangement to immediately change the compulsion to stand in line for hours even when going to pay taxes."

Similarly, the Chamber has drawn the attention of the Chief Secretary Dr. Aryal to facilitate the progress of most of the economic bills under consideration in the Parliament.

In the suggestion given by the Chamber, it is said, "Because the economic and other bills related to the private sector could not be passed on time, some problems could not be resolved, so we request you to facilitate this task as well."

The Chamber has also emphasised the need to bring in foreign investment for the country's economic development and prosperity.

The NCC has drawn the attention of Chief Secretary Dr. Aryal to organise a foreign investment conference as soon as possible, especially for big hydropower projects, infrastructure development, industrial and tourism promotion.

During the foreign investment conference, it was also requested to formulate a plan with the information technology sector as a top priority, said Malla.

The Chamber has also suggested that the development work should be forwarded by making a timetable for the increase in capital expenditure.

He said, "The demand for information technology services in the world is increasing day by day, IT industries should be developed by arranging for our youth to work as backups of large international IT companies in the country through the government."

On the occasion, Chief Secretary Dr. Aryal said that making effective public service delivery to the people is the highest priority of the government.

Stating that the government was sensitive about providing quality services, he said that a long-term policy plan was being made for this.

According to him, the issue of improving service delivery to the people was also connected with the success of the government.

The Chief Secretary said that the government and the private sector should work together for the economic development and prosperity of the country.

Aryal informed that initiatives were also being taken for international investment.

He informed that by making the customs administration effective, the policy arrangement was being prepared to increase the target of revenue collection and make capital expenditure in time.
