Prasun wins World Rising Star title

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Mar. 13: Child singer Prasun Jung Pokhrel won the World Rising Star 2023 competition held in Tbilisi, the capital city of Georgia, recently. 

He also won the national costume title in the competition.

 Prasun, who was the fourth runner-up in the Teen Star International 2022 competition held in Thailand, is now studying in grade IX at Bright Future Academy.

 He is the winner of Nepal's DSA Singing Star 2019 as well.

Prasun had reached Georgia representing Nepal as the winner of DSA Star 2019, a dance, singing and acting competition organised by Pariwartan Event House in the capital. 

He won the competition leaving other contestants from 42 countries behind. 

President Bidya Devi Bhandari handed over the award to Prasun at Sital Niwas on Saturday. 

Mohan Karki, CEO of Bright Future Academy, Miss Mongol 2018 Jangmu Enn Sherpa and Parivartan Event House Director Raj Baraili were present at the event held at the Office of the President.
