Madhesi Society celebrates Holi in UAE

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Mar. 5: Madhesi Unity Society UAE recently organised a Holi special programme  in Dubai. In the programme organised last Sunday, artists from Nepal showcased several cultural and musical performances. 

Singers Devendra Sah Soni, Dev Ahirav, Shivani Bhagat and dancer Priti Paswan had reached Dubai to entertain the huge audience.

Similarly, Nepali artists living in the UAE had also performed different vocal and dance items.

On the occasion, participants of the programme exchanged different colours to celebrate the Holi of the year.  

The Society had also honoured different personalities for their contribution in the UAE and Nepal. 

Likewise, the Society had also organised an intellectual show, besides cultural programme. Famous public intellectual CK Lal had presented his thoughtful speech on the topic of Madhes, Madhesi Community and the future of Nepal. 

Intellectual Lal said that although Nepal witnessed different political movements in the past, the common people could not realise the change. He further said that any change was impossible without political awareness.

Founder of the Society Dr. Rabindra Kumar Yadav, former chairman of the organisation Mukesh Jha, current chairman Krishna Thakur and the chief of the Society’s Nepal chapter Dr. Bobby Singh Yadav, among others, were also present in the programme.
