By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Feb. 17: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ administered the oath of office and secrecy to all the three newly appointed Chancellors of Nepal Academy, Nepal Academy of Fine Arts and Nepal Academy of Music and Drama at a ceremony organised at his official residence in Baluwatar on Thursday.
The government formed new working committees in the Nepal Academy, Nepal Academy of Fine Arts and Nepal Academy of Music and Drama on Wednesday.
Bhupal Rai has been appointed Chancellor of Nepal Academy, Nisha Sharma, Chancellor of Nepal Academy of Music and Drama, and Narad Mani Hartamchhali, Chancellor of Nepal Academy of Fine Arts.
On the occasion, the Prime Minister congratulated them and wished them a successful tenure.
Likewise, the government has appointed Bimal Krishna Shrestha as the Vice Chancellor of Nepal Academy. Dr. Dhan Prasad Subedi has been appointed secretary.
Madhusudhan Giri, Dr. Krishna Raj Adhikari, Rajan Mukarung, Baba Basnet, Dr. Kaushila Risal, Hansawoti Kurmi, Amar Neupane and Trilokyaman Banepali have been appointed as the new council members of the Academy.
Likewise, the government has appointed Lalkaji Lama as the Vice-Chancellor of Nepal Academy of Fine Arts. Palsangmo Lama, Pradeep Adhikari, Saurganga Darshandhari, Dineshwor Mahato, Sanjay Bantawa, and Aruna Hingmang have been appointed as council members while Debendra Kumar Kafle has been appointed as the secretary of the Academy of Fine Arts.
Likewise, the government has appointed Shambhu Rai as the Vice-Chancellor of the Nepal Academy of Music and Drama. Similarly, Kusma Mahara has been appointed as its secretary. Karna Bahadur Gautam, Bakhat Bahadur Hamal, Doctor Rai, Hisan Bahadur Magar, Tika Pun and Chetan Sapkota have been appointed as the council members of the Nepal Academy of Music and Drama Academy. They were appointed by the Council of Ministers on the proposal of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.
At the meantime, all the three chancellors administered the oath of office and secrecy to vice chancellors and council members on Thursday itself.
