Bullying Is The Beginning Of Crime

blog

Bullying is very common among kids, especially in school. Bullying harms. Bullying hurts. That is why it is the beginning stage of a crime. The habit grows very fast and badly if not stopped on time. The worse it can do is, it sometimes makes victim take one’s own life. It makes one to lose confidence.

So, here are some important questions that need to be asked: Is your kid in school? Is your kid bullied? Or, the most important question, “Is your kid bullying anyone?” “Is your kid involved in bullying by supporting the bully or not protecting the victim or not being there as a proof when the case is reported?”

When these cases are reported, many kids stay silent even when they are witness of the incident to protect themselves from being bullied in reverse. What if your kid is being bullied? What would you do? You try to stop it from your side.

You tell your child to avoid the person and stay away as much as possible at the first place. If you fail then you try to stop it by reporting it to the authority. But what if your child is reported for bullying some other kid? Don’t panic. Sometimes, it’s shocking.

Kids of this modern era are exposed to different types of vibes. Even they are busy in their studies, they are exposed to negative vibes through much popular movies, games, social media, etc. Here comes the duty of parents. Being a parent is never easy. Parents need to make their children understand that at the end of the movie, only the hero wins.

The “hero” who fights for good, who fights against bad people.  And to be a “hero”, one needs to be brave enough. Brave enough to speak the truth, to face the truth.

When parents ask their children about their time in school, most of them answer, “It is okay.” But as a parent, you notice changes in their behavior and expression when something is not going right. It is not easy to make them express themselves. There are exceptional cases that some kids are very friendly to their parents and the parents know everything what is happening.

Let us get to the main point. The question is, “What if your child is reported to be bullying some other kid?” You will ask your child if it is true. Will the child accept his/her mistake that easily? The answer is No.

Your child would try to twist the things and try to defend his own. This is very normal. So, what do you do? From the very young age, try to make them brave. Make them understand that only a brave person has guts to tell the truth and accept own mistakes.

No kid wants to be a coward. Every kid wants to be a “hero”, the brave one.  This is the first step to raise a good child.  Teach them to accept their own mistakes and teach them to say “Sorry” even in small mistakes. Parents are the leader and an idol of their children.  They learn the most from their parents and family.  Teach them to be kind. Teach them that to harm someone or bullying someone is a crime because it costs a lot to the victim. This way, a parent won’t raise a bully but a kind child.

But things don’t go as we wish. In case of the report that your child is bullying someone, talk to the child and figure out if he/she is guilty or not which is not easy at all. If you find your child guilty, support him/her to accept the truth and make them apologise. Make sure he/she won’t go after taking revenge.

Always be in touch with the authorities to solve the problem. Be cooperative. Do remember that to support the bully child is raising a future criminal. No parents want to raise a criminal. Support your child to accept his/her mistakes and not repeat them again.

On the other hand, staying silent on being bullied is also supporting the bully. Be supportive enough to your child that he/she can come to you to tell what’s going on. Your child is your life. Try help them not to be a bully or bullied.
Bullying in schools can be taken under control by good management.

Installing CC cameras in classrooms, corridors and ground may help to solve bullying problems. Together with involvement of parents and school authority, a better world can be created. Whenever any bulling is reported, the issue should be handled very carefully. Let’s stop bullying. Let’s stop the crime.
