Rain takes place across the country

Kathmandu, Oct 4: Light to moderate rain has been taking place throughout the country today. The rainfall amidst the Dashain festival has caused sheer inconvenience among the people for movement. 

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the axis of monsoon trough is presently based on towards north from the average location. 

According to the Division, there is generally cloudy in the Province 1, Madhesh Province and the Bagmati Province while there is partly to generally cloudy in hilly parts of the rest of the provinces. Some parts of the Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and a few places of the rest of the provinces are witnessing a light to moderate thunder shower. 

Tomorrow, there will be generally to mostly cloudy weather throughout the country. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at many places of Province 1, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province and at few places of rest of the country. Similarly, there are chances of heavy to downpour at a few places of the Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province, and heavy rainfall at one or two places of Province 1 and Bagmati Province, the Division says. 

Meteorologist Sajina Shakya said light to moderate rain is taking place in central and eastern parts of the country. 

Tonight, heavy rainfall is likely at a few places of the Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province and at one or two places of Province 1 and Madesh Province. (RSS)
