Sept. 2: A total of 206 new cases (RT-PCR and antigen tests combined) of
COVID-19 have been confirmed in the last 24 hours across the country.
In 1,595 Real-Time
Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the past 24 hours, a total of
134 people were found infected with SARS-CoV-2, informed the Ministry of Health
and Population (MoHP) in its regular update on Friday.
Likewise, the virus infection was detected in 72 people in 1,274 antigen tests performed in the last 24 hours.
Currently, there are 2,891 active cases of COVID-19 across the nation of which, 156 are admitted to institutional isolation while 2,735 patients are placed in home isolation. Of the total cases in institutional isolation, 41 are in ICU, and six are on ventilator support, according to the MoHP.
Meanwhile, 398
COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in institutional isolation or staying in
home isolation recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours.
Three fatalities related to COVID-19 were recorded in the last 24 hours, according to the MoHP. So far, Nepals' COVID-19 death toll has reached 12,005.
