One killed, 12 injured, 200 households sustain damages due to sudden high voltage supply

By Ganesh Paudel, Parbat, Aug. 8: One woman was electrocuted to death while 12 others have been injured due to a high voltage power supply today at Dhairing, Dharapani of Jaljala Rural Municipality - 7 in Parbat district. 

The Parbat District Police Office informed that Sita KC, 50, was killed after a high power supply on electric wire all of sudden on Monday morning. 

Due to the sudden supply of high power current throughout the village, Dharapani's 12 people have been injured. About 200 households have had electric damage due to the high voltage power. 

Shiva Raj Budhathoki, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in the District Police Office, informed that the injured have been receiving treatment at the Myagdi Hospital in Beni.

Due to the sudden high power supply, 11 goats of a local Pratap Acharya were also killed while many others were injured. 

According to Shiv Narayan Gosheli, the Chief of Kushma Distribution Centre, due to a leakage, the accident took place in place of the normal 220 voltage regular transmission.
