Banepa, July 26 : The incessant rainfall 0occured on
Sunday caused a landslide, posing a severe threat to the Mahat settlement at
Shaping of Bhumlu Rural Municipality-1.
Even a school building was buried
in the landslide. The land is ripped.
Mayor at Bhumlu Rural Municipality,
Prem Bahadur Bhujel, informed that some 15 households in Mahat settlement were
at risk of landslide. "The land is ripped and cracked near homes," he
said, adding that it was not sure where the settlement could be shifted. The
settlement however must be removed from the scary place.
The building of Kalidevi Primary
School at Bhumlu-1 was damaged by the landslide. Similarly, the building of
Janata Secondary School at ward no 6 is also at high risk, he added. (RSS)
