By Abinash Chaudhary, July 25: An agreement on extending medical services between the Bir Hospital in Kathmandu and the Geta Medical College in Dhangadhi has been signed.
The agreement also includes the point about providing technology based high quality
service.
Prof Dr. Pramod Joshi, Assistant Director
from the Geta Medical College and Prof Dr. Bhupendra Kumar Basnet, Chief
Executive Officer of the COVID Unified Hospital at the Bir Hospital, singned the agreement.
There will be an exchange of skilled menpower as well
as high quality technical assistance between the two hospitals for providing quality
service.
Even though the structure of the Geta Hospital has
been already built, but is yet to operationalize. The givernemnt is not able to
provide any modality for the operation of the hospital because of which there is uncertainty about its
operation and service provision.
A total of Rs. 5 billion has been spent for the construction
of the Geta Medical College.
