Their latest single ‘Sadhai Timi Mero’ released on July 12, 2022, is currently #29 on trending for Nepal moderated YouTube music broadcast. A prequel tune taken from the singer’s fifth studio album Ranga Mancha Ko Rang, the original draft of the song was published back in 2009.
This new version features plenty input from his dynamic band consisting of topnotch musicians Nikesh KC and John Shrestha on guitars, Jeevan Lama on bass, Binod Lama Tamang on drums, Steven Tamang and Subash Gurung on audio engineering, Abiz Basukala and Jitesh Shakya on technical team.
The video for the tune is credited to Faith Films Productions with Santosh Chhantyal on direction and editing, Anish KC on cinematography. This revised tune was recorded at Seed-tone Music Studio and Studio 5150 with the band members as audio technician and Steven Tamang as the audio producer and recording engineer. The single was further supported by R&R Music Store and Enya Guitars Nepal.
A laid back chill tune, the video showcases a similar vibe with the band members having a blast amidst the serene spacey landscape and view of the Kathmandu Valley in their backdrop. The music kicks in abruptly with a sleek guitar intro, the break-like accented pattern in the pre-chorus complements the entire arrangement and also breaks the otherwise flowy texture of the tune. The post chorus vocal harmonies and chord progression develop a very interesting phrase and almost function as the bridge section for the song.
The voice-over at the very end of the video where the band is just supporting each other also adds a humorous and light-hearted angle to the audience who gets to see the more human side of the band even for a split number of seconds. So do check out the video and support your local musicians.
