One killed, four injured in jeep accident in Surkhet

By Navin Subedi, Surkhet, June 22: A person has been killed while four others were injured in a jeep accident at Kapase in Surkhet district.

The Bolero jeep owned by the Office of the Hydrology and Meteorology, Kohalpur, fell some 20 meters off the road while returning from Asaraghat, a bordering area between Achham and Dailekh district, said Bimal Danghi, Superintendent of Police (SP) of the Armed Police Force.

Officials of the Office of the Hydrology and Meteorology, Kohalpur, were returning to their office from a status study tour to the water flow measure center at Asarghat.

Binod Parajuli, chief of the Office of the Hydrology and Meteorology, Kohalpur, said that Dharma Budhathoki, 28, an engineer at the Office, was killed in the accident.

All the injured are undergoing treatment at the Karnali Provincial Hospital, according to the police.
