By A Staff Reporter Kathmandu, May 26: Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s concert scheduled for May 28 in Kathmandu has been deferred at the last moment.
Issuing a press statement on Tuesday, ODC Entertainment, the event host, said that the show DA-Bangg -The Tour Reloaded was postponed until further notice for some unexpected circumstances.
The organisers said that they postponed the programme as its ticket sale was impacted by the local level elections and other activities as well as the regular rains.
They also cited the ban imposed by the Indian government on Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez to leave the country because of a lawsuit filed against her.
The next date for the programme will be announced at a favourable time soon, said the organisers. Salman was to get Rs. 48 million for the programme.
It was said that a dozen artistes were to give musical performances in the show to be held at Dasharath Stadium. Salman was also scheduled to visit Nepal’s tourist areas. This is the second time that Salman’s scheduled Nepal tour has been deferred.
In connection to the event, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Ale had had a virtual conversation with actor Salman Khan while Sohail Khan, Salman’s brother, visited Nepal to inspect the management of the event.
