Kathmandu, April 1: The country has recorded above average rainfall so far during pre-monsoon period this year.
According to Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorologist Binu Maharjan, around 29.5 per cent rain has already occurred so far. In general, 20 per cent rainfall occurs during this period.
Pre-monsoon period runs from Falgun 15-Jeth 15. Usually around 226 millimeters rainfall occurs during pre-monsoon period but 77.5 millimeters has already fallen till March 31.
Maharjan added that the weather across the country will remain generally fair on Thursday while rainfall is likely to take place from Friday.(RSS)
