Madi Municipality prohibits sale of plastic
Chitwan, June 8: The Madi Municipality here has banned the sale of plastic materials within the municipality.
The municipality issued a notice banning the sale of cups, glasses, plates, forks and other plastic products.
Executive Officer Jagat Prasad Bhusal said that the deadline for managing plastic materials for sale within the city has passed, and therefore sales will be banned from now on.
Mayor Tara Kumari Kaji Mahato has urged the townspeople to use items made from Sal leaves as an alternative to plastic materials.(RSS)
