Upadhyay leads newly elected RSP district committee in Bajhang

Bajhang, June 8: Satyaraj Upadhyay has been elected chairperson of the newly formed 13-member district executive committee of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) in Bajhang.

Most candidates were elected unopposed at the party’s first district convention held on Sunday, with contests taking place only for the posts of vice-chairperson and secretary.

In the vice-chairperson election, Ram Bahadur Dewar secured 99 votes to defeat Arun Kumar Rokaya, who received 84 votes.

The convention elected Ashok Malla as secretary and Mukesh Kumar Aidi as joint secretary.

Similarly, Anita Bhat Japrel was elected treasurer. Pushparaj Rokaya (Akshar Kheti), Gangadutta Joshi, Rudrasingh Malla, Gyan Bahadur Sing, Kamal Saud, Maniram Upadhyay and Ram Bahadur Thapa were elected as members of the district executive committee.(RSS)
