Sale, consumption of liquours barred in Gulmi until final result of local poll

By Tilachan Pandey, Tamghas, May 10: Consumption and sale of liquors and other intoxicating substances have been banned in Gulmi district till the announcement of the final result of the local election.

The local level election is being held on May 13.

“Issuing a statement on Monday, the District Administration Office, Gulmi banned buying and selling of substances in the district to make the election fair, free, impartial and peaceful,” said Hari Prasad Gaire, Chief District Officer (CDO) of Gulmi, in the statement.

Action will be taken against people disobeying this order as per the law, read the statement.
