Guru Rinpoche’s birth anniversary observed
The Bouddhanath Area Development Committee celebrated the birth anniversary of Guru Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche) on Monday by organising a grand fair. It was the first time the birth anniversary of Guru Rinpoche was observed by organising an event.

Over 25 households at landslide risk in Jethal of Sindhupalchok
More than 25 households in Jethal, located in Ward No. 5 of Lisankhupakhar Rural Municipality, are facing high risk of landslides following the appearance of significant cracks on the ground. The affected area lies along the border of Sindhupalchok and Dolakha districts, where over 50 metres of land has fissured, placing the entire settlement in danger. Jethal village is situated just below the cracked land.

Mawa bridge in Jhapa now turns useless

Plantation completes in 84% paddy fields across the country
Paddy plantation has been done in around 84 per cent of the total paddy fields so far. According to the Department of Agriculture under the Ministry of Agricultural and Livestock Development, paddy plantation in around 83.88 per cent of the total paddy fields has been completed by Sunday (August 3, 2025). The paddy has been planted in 1.15 hectares of the total paddy fields of 1.38 million hectares across the country.
