blog

Gandaki, April 20: The Muslim Commission today presented its annual report for the fiscal year 2081–82 BS (2024–25) to Gandaki Province Chief Dilli Raj Bhatta.

Commission Acting Chair Mahamadin Ali submitted the document to the Province Chief in accordance with Article 294(3) of the Constitution.

Receiving the report, the Province Chief said that the formation of the Commission aimed at recognising the history and culture of the Muslim community, promoting their rights, and empowering the community.

He also said that the role of state-formed commissions like the Muslim Commission is significant in promoting mutual goodwill based on coexistence among various castes, languages, cultures, and communities.

The issues highlighted in the report will be presented for discussion in the Provincial Assembly through the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers.

The Commission Acting Chair briefed the Province Chief about the Commission’s activities, accomplishments, and future plans.

He said that the Muslim community continues to take initiatives for the improvement of the concerned community. He also added that the Commission faces budget constraints and limited authority, which have, as he argued, created challenges in delivering results as expected.(RSS)
