By A Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, Mar. 12: Minister for Home Affairs Om Prakash Aryal has expressed his gratitude to the officials of the Central Security Committee, Provincial Command Posts, and District Security Committees for successfully conducting the House of Representatives election in a clean, fair, and fear-free environment.

In physical and virtual meetings attended by Home Secretary Raj Kumar Shrestha, heads of all four security agencies at the Ministry on Wednesday, departmental chiefs of the ministry, officials of provincial command posts, and district security committee officers, Minister Aryal reviewed the election and thanked the officials of the Central Security Committee, the seven provincial command posts led by their respective chief secretaries, and the 77 district security committees chaired by the Chief District Officers for playing their roles effectively in ensuring a historic election.

Minister Aryal highlighted that after the election, the Constitution has taken the country on the right path and laid the foundation for political good governance.

He emphasised that this historic achievement was possible only through collective and coordinated efforts, from staff working at the centre to those deployed in the field, and extended his gratitude to everyone who provided valuable advice and suggestions during the process.

Home Secretary Shrestha said that officials, by upholding professionalism and fulfilling their duties impartially in the field with good intentions, earned high praise even from international observers.

During the virtual meeting, officials from provincial command posts and district security committees shared their experiences regarding election security preparations.

The government and security officials opined that compared to elections over the past thirty years, this simultaneous, nationwide election was cleaner, fairer, fear-free, and error-free, marking a historic achievement. They also lauded Minister Aryal for his skillful leadership and guidance in ensuring this success.
