By TRN Online, Kathmandu, April 14: The government has come up with a plan to involve at least 1.5 million people in yoga/mediation for at least 15 minutes from 1:15 pm on Wednesday to mark the International Wellness Day.
A meeting of the high level committee for organizing the World Wellness Day held on 2 April under the chairmanship of the Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation decided to appeal to all people across the country including government offices for participating in 15-minute yoga meditation from 1:15 pm on April 15 to mark the Aarogya Diwas/Wellness Day.
It is the first time that Nepal is marking the International Wellness Day after the United Nations General Assembly on March 11, 2026, adopted a resolution titled “International Wellness Day” proposed by Nepal, designating April 15 each year as the International Wellness Day.
