Kathmandu, Jan 7: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal reached the Lalitpur-based Madhesi Commission and Muslim Commission to hold discussions with their office-bearers.
The Minister discussed with the acting Chairperson of the Muslim Commission Mahamdin Ali and other office-bearers at the commission office in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur and acting Chairperson of the Madhesi Commission Jeevachha Saha and other office-bearers at the commission office in Jwagal on contemporary affairs today.
According to the Home Minister's secretariat, the discussions were held focusing on the incidents of communal intolerance erupted in some districts of Tarai-Madhesh of late.
Also on the occasion, Minister Aryal held discussions with the office-bearers of the commissions about the roles and responsibilities of the constitutional commissions and the problems faced by the commission and their expectations from the governments. (RSS)
