Home Minister Aryal urges to safeguard social harmony and co-existence

Kathmandu, Jan 5: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal said that serious attention has been drawn to the incidents capable of jeopardizing religious harmony and tolerance in Dhanusha and Parsa. 

In this connection, Home Minister Aryal has urged the concerned sides to immediately act in a way to maintain harmony and safeguard co-existence of all sides to prevent violence in society. 

Sharing that the home administration and federal government have done all necessary preparations and adopt precautions, Minister Aryal has called for one and all to discharge their respective responsibilities from their end so as to address the incident, as the suffering one religion and community is inflicting today would repeat in own community tomorrow. 

The Minister today had held discussions with acting chairpersons, secretary and office-bearers of different constitutional agencies at the home ministry today. 

During the discussion, the home minister asked the constitutional commissions to discharge the role of patron with prudence in such situations. 

He also urged all sides to normalize the evolving communal conflict on Madhes province and other some provinces based on good will, precaution and co-existence. 

The province and local governments also do have crucial role to normalize the situation in the trouble times, Minister Aryal noted. 

Also present on the occasion were acting chairperson of Madhesi Commission, acting chairperson of Muslim Commission, acting chairperson of Tharu Commission, Home Secretary, NHRC Secretary, Inspector General of Police, Armed Police Force IGP, National Investigation Department chief and Security and Coordination Division Chief and joint secretary Ananda Kafle and other members of the commission. 

On the occasion, acting chairpersons of the commissions urged the spectacular coordinating roles of federal and province governments and citizens and intellectuals of the community to tame the activities taken to destabilize religious and cultural harmony. 

Likewise, Minster Aryal held a virtual meeting with the office-bearers of 21 districts including Madhes province and chiefs of all seven provinces today. 

Also on the occasion, Minster Aryal had inquired about the law and order situation in the districts of Madhes provinces with the Chief District Officers and province police chief. (RSS)
