Nepal becoming global cricket center: President Paudel

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 5: President Ramchandra Paudel has viewed that Nepal is stepping toward the world cricket center as evidenced by the bringing of ICC T20 trophy for tour in Nepal.

Addressing a function organized at the Office of the President to make public the world cup trophy, the President said it is a glorious moment the ICC world cup trophy is brought to Nepal and that this occasion has disseminated the message around the globe that Nepal is heading toward the global center of cricket.

"Nepal is increasingly getting established as a country of sports lovers. Cricket has played an important role to further tie knot of the unity in country. Along with its professional development, basis has become solid that Nepali youths can build their brighter future through sports as well," President Paudel said.

He thanked the ICC for bringing the trophy in Nepal and thus enhancing confidence and enthusiasm of the Nepali cricket lovers and the people.
