Kharel has said that all media workers need to join with the Social
Security Fund (SSF).
Speaking to journalists in Bharatpur, Chitwan, he said that
work is underway to include employees and media personnel affiliated with
state-run media outlets in the SSF.
Government media outlets, including Gorkhapatra and Nepal
Television, have been associated with the process. It is time for other media outlets across the country to join the SSF.
He said that homework is being made to sustain self-employed
media outlets.
He said, "Homework is being done on how to promote
media outlets, especially new media, YouTube, and online television, by linking
them with the state."
Public welfare advertisements should be systematized and
made available to everyone.
There is little time
and a lot of work to be done.
He said, “Even though there is little time, this government
will build a foundation for media workers.
He said that the government is serious about the rights of
journalists.
"We will work with commitment for the sustainable
development and prosperity of the media," He said.
He said that we have received information that some media
outlets are in a state of financial distress and are on the verge of closure.
He said that the government will work towards resolving the
problems of all media outlets.
The Communication Minister said, "It is difficult to manage the finances in line with excessive citizen journalism."
